1 hospitalized, 1 jailed in Richardson break-in

I hate to see people get hurt, but these turds deserve every second of pain!

One burglary suspect was hospitalized and another was in jail today, a day after an off-duty Dallas police officer caught them breaking into his Richardson apartment, police said.

Leonard Mathis, 23, was shot twice in the stomach and once in the leg, police said. He was taken to the hospital by Micheal Darnell Harper, 29, who was being held in the Richardson city jail on suspicion of burglary.

Richardson police said Dallas police Senior Cpl. Dennis Williams was sleeping inside his apartment about 1:40 p.m. Tuesday when a loud crash woke him. When he went to investigate, he found two men in the apartment, which is in the 3600 block of Alma Road near the Bush Turnpike. The officer fired several shots, striking Mr. Mathis.

Police searched the vehicle and found property that they believe was taken in another burglary. Police said they expect to seek additional charges against the two men.

If Mathis was shot twice in the stomach and still went to the hospital that police officer needs to change caliber of weapons IMO
