AR15 collapsing stock?
Which stocks are you useing, and do you have any issues with it being noisy or rattling at all whether stowed or extended?
I've got the CAA finally. It's not mounted yet, but the stock over the buffer tube seems a little clunky. It looks pretty sturdy and tough, just might have a little noise issue for a tactical situation. It does seem like it would survive a good butt-stroke over some I've seen. The rubber pad is real firm, but has just enouph texture over hard plastic to pull the stock into your shoulder or against gear without it wanting to slide around. Also might help it from sliding down to the floor if you leaned the rifle against a wall or something.

I have a 4 position stock on mine. Its solid and predictable.
A buddy has a fixed, full length stock and his seems to amplify the spring rattle when fired. If the stock is settled into your shoulder pocket, it wont move around. On my shotgun, I wrapped the butt pad with tape to slicken it up. nothing worse than trying tho shoulder your firearm and having it grab your shirt, jacket, and have to reshoulder and be constantly readjusting your hold constantly.

I was thinking of getting the 4 pos. later anyway as a weight saver. Good to hear it's solid. Maybe I'll save this for a varmint gun later. It does appear durable and reliable, maybe I'm being picky, but I don't like the idea of any extra noise if stalking critters or if one were to patrol. Not that I never carried my share of M-16's with clunky fore-ends.

T-6 Stock
Here's the one I got for mine. http://www.gunstuff4you.com/product/54479
Couple it with the 7.62x39 short barreled upper and it is an awesome entry weapon. |
