Ok. Cabela's is offering 0% APR on any Springfield armory firearms. Assuming they have both in stock.

Blue or Stainless.
Im leaning toward the Stainless, but that would ruin my whole complete collection of Black guns...

I'd go with the stainless.
More durable finish. ;)

well, talked to Cabela's again today. The only springfield armory firearm they had in stock was a XD in .45.
They did however request a deposit and they are going to put my name on the next available Springfield Armory Stainless Steel GI 1911 that shows up. They are expecting know something monday. By putting the deposit in and using my Cabela's Club visa, I get zero APR for the next 12 month on that purchase. Instead of laying out $600 at once, I can lay out $50/month and earn that 1/2% interest instead of paying interest.

Ill post pictures when it arrives.

Cabela's called today.
I called my local gunshop and had them send their FFL info to Cabela's in Fort Worth, It should be here tomorrow or the day after depending on if they got it shipped overnight today or not.

well, its not real photogenic since its so shiny.
also, I think fingerprints show up on this thing by looking at it.
Anyway, serial numbers block, but here it is.

I put about 50 rounds thru it today at the range. smoooooth shooting gun. not much recoil. would be a pleasure to shoot all day.
I also shot my 9mm and .40 for reference. at 25 yrds they all group nicely, one above the other.
The manual with the .45 said "6 o'clock at 25 yrds" The should have said you will hit the 6 oclock position on a four foot clock if you aim at 12 oclock at 25 yrds.
Im all over the place with pistols anyway, but I had fun with it.

Thanks. I need a few more magazines for it. I really like it, just a bit long for a carry gun.
