Could not resist it, In the pawn shop I visit is / was a 1966 lever action bronz sort of trigger, rifle
I offeres 300. and Sold ( was posted at 390 or so..)
Is this thing a good thing ?

I am not positive but I believe all Marlins have the bronze/gold colored triggers. I don't own any but I know someone that does and he has several in different calibers and models.

Good for you I bet it's better quality and less OSHA approved than a new one. Generally speaking old guns are the way to go.

Glad you think so too ! I bought a new Tourus 45 here recently...OMG how many safty features do you need B you can pull the trigger ? Prettty soon you will have to dwn load from a lap top some where a freee to fire pac !! EEEKKK !!!!!!!!1

Some of the Marlins have gold colored triggers like the golden 39A. Most Marlins are rugged, good quality and I have a few regularly use. I'm not sure what the future will bring with Rem ownership.

Marlin (and marlin store brands) came in a "golden" series.
I have a glenfield Golden 50 in .22 LR brass trigger and magazine.

I have a mid 70's 336 with the gold trigger. Great truck gun. I modified mine with a rear Lyman ghost ring sight.
