Maybe my math is off but my calculations show a 382" drop at 400 yards with a 25 yard zero. It doesn't look like he is holding over at all.

What do you think?

tough call... thats a lot of hold over, but its tough to tell on a short barrel pistol.
Watch Bob Munden with his 1911.

i hit a truck door at 300 2 times years ago, BUT i was aiming at the moon and fired over a dozen rounds. spotting scope could see where they hit and basically just walked the rounds in to the target. seemed like forever before a round got there compared to a rifle round

A full second really does seem like forever when shooting.

The .45 is a fairly slow, fast falling bullet. I think I would have to be there to believe that one.

I didn't read the discription.

In that case, of course he hit it...

Bob Munden hit a ballon @ 200 yds with a .38 caliber "Snubbie".

Nothing is impossible. ;)

I hit a 55gal drum at about 250 with my .45 Long Colt years ago. I could see the dirt kicking up and walked 'em in as stated above and I was holding over a ton when I finally hit it! Hard to believe unless that bear target was down in a draw!

I hit ballons at 100 yards stapled to a saw horse. You could pick the color you were going for. Moved it back to 300 yards and still hit ballons here and there but surely couldn't pick the color. Beretta 92FS.

I took a shooting class and the instructor was hitting a 19" steel target at 600 yds with a 45.

Yes he had practiced before. It was the end of the day and all was quiet you could here the impact of the bullet in the steel. He didn't let anybody else try it.
