I just attended my daughter's High School graduation ceremony.
At the start of the service, the R.O.T.C. Color Guard presented the American flag and the H.S. band played the National Anthem AND NOT ONE student except for MY daughter covered their heart during the National Anthem!! NOT even one teacher or even our local State Senator covered their heart!! As far as the audience I saw a very FEW doing so. I've seen more drunks at a baseball game cover their heart during the pre-game playing of the National Anthem.
WHAT the HECK!! I thought at LEAST ALL political and elected officials are under certain Civic protocol and required to address the American flag by covering their heart during the playing of the National Anthem!!??
I understand that my daughter's H.S. received national notoriety as the first H.S. in the nation to kick God out of the Graduation ceremony. They no longer ALLOW ANY prayer or spiritual benediction AND were the first to take this position before any of the "phoney" and FALSE court decisions to forbid them.
With ALL the attacks on our country and society I JUST can't believe the LACK of any civic pride or patriotism.
