i have been looking on the net on the different types of units...I really like the physical makeup of the Glock, polymers etc minimal or no metal means lightweight comfortable carry but they have 0 safety, another thing I am looking for is reliability. The sig looks like its right up there but do they have full polymer units?

S&W Airweights are good for CCW.
S&W Lady Smith is another good choice.
Technically, glock does have the trigger safety.
I carry a SA XD40SC. safeties include a firing pin block so it doesn't fire when dropped. It uses a grip safety like the 1911 (which has been used safely for almost 100 years), and it has the trigger safety.
Sig 226 (I believe) is their polymer pistol. All the sigs I have handled seem to have extremely smooth, slick feeling grips on their pistols.
XD has nice deep checkering, Not to mention, the safety is off as soon as you take a nice good grip on the pistol. you dont have to fumble with a switch under pressure...
