well, how did it go? I took my arsenal out today myself.

I have a visitor in from Singapore, so we went out today for a bit of AMERICAN fun.
I took a picture of him with my AR, he said he is going to send it to his wife and tell her that he had to buy one, everyone here has one. :D

Didn't get to go, It started raining right after i posted that.:mad: It was supposed to be cloudy with no rain today.:rolleyes: The weather folks here have a lot of trouble predicting the weather.:confused:

rain hasn't slowed me down on range trips.
Yeah, rain probably isn't the best conditions to dial in a new rifle. Its good to see how the rifle will perform in less than ideal conditions.

You got one of the "newer" belgian made models... good for you. It should say "Match 308" on the other side... IMO, these were the best receivers they made.

Due to barrel twist, they don't like the Federal match 168 grain much. NATO surplus stuff shoots great. It likes the 147-150 grain bullets.

Only two real drawbacks to the weapon is weight and a poor trigger. That trigger contributes to accuracy issues more than anything else.

Now that FAL is capable of outstanding accuracy. I have a para model, and with some surplus British ammo it shoots 1/2" at 100 yrds with iron sights. Most other ammo is still at 1" groups. With iron sights.

My best shooting, again with the british surplus ammo, was 3 shots into a soda can, with iron sights, at 450 yrds. That is what an FAL is capable of.

Again, I'm biased, but all things considered I think the FAL is the best semi auto 308 made.

Fal is a nice weapon.....H & K 93 is a nice .308 auto also.
