I have possesion of my brothers Nazi Luger. Is it safe to shoot? How heavy can I load it safely? Should I be shooting it, or does it ruin the value?

I wouldn't be shooting it at all. I'm sure it can handle regular 9mm ammo, and the Lugers are certainly fun to shoot, but they're also a PITA to clean. With it being a documented war trophy, I wouldn't want to do anything that might lower the value.

It is safe to shoot with normal factory ammo (115 gr. FMJ). Assuming it's not in brand new unfired condition, shooting it occasionally will not hurt the value any. These are robust military guns that were built to be shot.

+1 wanna diesel. Unless you and your brother have a huge liking to this firearm you should be able to sell it for big bucks.
Good luck and enjoy.
