Seems to me that everybody on here hates glocks. I'm not sure why because I love mine. Just curious if there is anybody else here that loves their glock?

Bingo. I love mine. I don't carry it because it pretty or it's slim line design.
I carry it because you can throw it in the sand box, the creek, or drop it off a cliff etc.. and still use it.
Shiny turbos and guns don't impress me. ;)

What concerns me most when having a gun is that it goes BOOM when I pull the trigger. Glock has an excellent reputation for reliability.

There are a few things I don't care for on a Glock but they are fine guns, the G17 probably being one of the best 9mm's ever made. They really shine as a combat handgun.

Mountaineer- I won't be dragging my guns through a creek or dropping them off a cliff so I guess I won't need that feature. :D

They have one heckuva marketing dept - Glock "Perfection."
There are some of their models to have known imperfections but like I said, the G17 is a known good gun.

Never know when you might be out coon hunting and fall in a creek or something along that line. Then when the cyote's decide to come out you've got something to fight back with. Good to know the secondary gun is ready to rock. ;)

The only issue I have against glock is the angle of the grip to the barrel. The grip is raked back more than I like.
Held one, foldeled one, hadn't shot one, the gun just didn't point right to me.

I own a few Glocks and they have their place. For a general overall firearm they are pretty hard to beat. I have firearms that are better for their intended purpose.

I've never been able to decide on if I could only have one hand gun what it would be. Glock is always in the running.

Love my G-22 in factory trim. Hoping for some crimson trace here before long, and maybe an aftermarket steel guide rod for more smoothness but it never fails to function, and fits and feels good. plus super simple to clean and light to carry.

love it!!! :D

I'm with Fronty on this. If the grip angle was different, I'd own several. All my guns naturally shoot/point to where I'm looking without any drastic compensation on my part. With the Glocks I need to deliberatly tip the muzzle down, and for me that just doesn't cut it for quick reaction point shooting.

I have shot thousands and thousands of rounds through a G-22,23,27, and 35 These guns are tough, reliable and pretty easy to work on. Gaston Glock knew what he was doing.. I have been using glocks for the last 10 years and have seen very minimal malfunctions. I know there are other great handguns but Glock has my loyalty based on field experiance.;)

Glock all the way for me. I currently have a 17 and 22. I have other pistols and handguns but they don't see the run time the Glocks do.

Glocks are fine guns and they are very reliable. tens of thousands of police officers can't be wrong.

It is personal preference and I do not like them at all. I have shot every model they make except for the 18C, have a friend who collects them, and every one is like holding a bar of Ivory soap in your hand. The Grip angle is wrong and the back of them are too square which causes them to impact the bone in my thumb. If I bought one I would have to destroy the value of it by grinding a better radius on the back of the gun.

I have a several. I like them all and I am a 1911 fan to boot.

My newest is a 37 in 45 GAP. Sweetness!

The guns I shoot most are SVI in .40 and 9mm. I'm debating if I will shoot the ironman in Idaho. If I do I'll use my G35.

The G doesn't shoot as well as either of the SV's but I don't want to hammer an expensive pistol for no reason.

I too own a Glock. Of course it is a 21 in .45 ACP. In the winter when I can put enough clothes on I carry it concealed. It is very accurate and dependable. It fits my hand and shoots well. What I don't like is the lack of a safety like I have on my Colts. In a high stress situation it is most likely that the trigger finger will be on the trigger too soon and cause an AD. I would like to think not, but even trained deputies have had this problem as it has been shown on the Discovery channel. So, I tend to carry it with the chamber empty. I'm sixty years old and I have carried concealed for almost twenty years. Only once have I needed to show my weapon and that was all it took to change the purp's mind. Still, I think a thumb safety would be better in my situation. I can't carry thirteen rounds in my Colt.

I have three and use them as a carry sidearm. I shoot them well and they are rugged so I have accustomed myself to them. I like the simplicity and snag free finish. However, the "safe action" trigger I have never really understood the thinking behind.

I've seen a few videos on the 'Net showing Police Officer displaying how safe that Glock "Safe Action" trigger can be when you violate rule number one.....http://deephousepage.com/smilies/conf45.gif

I'm not a big fan of the Glock ( they don't point and shoot well for me). However, I have a buddy who loves them. They are a well made weapon......just make sure you are comfortable with them.

I think the whole glock debate stems from what pistol you learned to shoot with. Glocks point more like revolvers, most automatics point like 1911s.

We've had a couple at work that went kaboom, but not since we switched to using only brand name factory ammo. We also had one have the rear frame rails break.

Still, I find them naturally handling and easy to shoot. Oddly, it seems the smaller ones often group better off sandbags than the bigger ones (my 27 groups better than the 22).

After going through the armorer's course, I was impressed at the design, considering there was nothing similar when they first came out.

All my natural shot gun / point, I did not for me any drastic compensation. With Glocks I need to deliberatly prompt gunpoint, for me, just does not cut fast response three-point shooting.

I have a G20sf. It's ok. Yes just ok.

It is worth most where guns are most important-- that is to say it is reliable and accurate out of the box and a whole lot of mods isn't necessary to make it as good as it can get.

Like others have stated, it doesn't point naturally for me: I have to "think" more when shooting it.

My Sig Sauer is a better weapon all the way around, but is not made in 10mm.

My Delta Elite is 10mm, fits better, shoots better. However, it is 1/2 the capacity of the g20 and certainly not as impervious to the elements.

So, the g20 ends up being a compromise for me... not a bad one mind you as we could all do worse. I do have the 20 fixed up with a ghost trigger and 22lb spring with stainless rod. Night sights in the near future.

Soulezoo...if you're interested, there's a thread on one of the Sig Forums about converting a 220ST into 10mm.

Franken-Sig (http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/430601935/m/324107199/p/1)

Personally, I won't spend the $900 for a gun that's going to require another $600 to end up with what I want, but if you really like the 220 (I do) and need it in 10mm (fortunately I've got a 1006, so I don't) it's the best solution to an unusual problem...
