SO someone offered to buy my gun today...but i never even though about selling it. I wanted to get some ideas on what i might need to consider, considering the things going on with the goverment and such. AND maybe a price if i was to maybe consider shooting a price back at him. OR should i even sell......as i really do like it but could use the cash these days....
More or less its a custom built AR with a 1" Stainless steel bull barrell, Rock River Arms Lower, pistol grip. Heck just see pic! Thanks all! VERY cool site!

That is a nice looking rig.
Set a price that you could live with to replace it and make some extra and if they pay it you are ahead. If they don't like the price then you don't sell.

Dan,
I would try to keep it. No telling what the future will bring. Even if that means eating beans for a year.
I have been there and done that, and sure wished I kept my original AR's, HK's, etc....

I would keep it if possible.
If your going to sell it, I would do the transfer either face to face or more preferably, thru an FFL and the buyer pays the transfer fees.
for price. uhm, figure out what it would cost to replace and adjust from there depending on how bad you want to sell it.

+1
The Varminter setups will always be easier to come by. The week after they sold all the carbines at my local gun shop (nearly 200) they still had a couple varminters on the shelf.
If you do sell it, the first thing I would do is go out and buy another lower. That way if any ban comes about, you should be covered.

I think you did really well considering I just saw a new DPMS varmint setup at my local over priced gun shop with a sticker price of $890.
