Went to our local monthly gun show today and couldn't hardly move in the place it was so packed. I personally saw two ladies in the process of buying pistols and my son told me he saw at least two others. This doesn't count the men buying. I saw one guy buying two XDs from the dealer that I bought mine from a couple months back.

i am taking this election very personal, me and my dad run a family farm, with the new redistribution of welth (me and my dad fall into the 250,000 and up bracket) will not be able to farm and make a living, so the one thing i am counting on to help me through these times are GUNS incase we have a total epidemic and everything goes to hell we can hunt for food to feed our families, i am 15 and theres not much i can do about it.

stay vigilant, stay informed. I am proud to see someone as young as you that has a head on their shoulders. Tell dad he did a good job! I was raised on a wheat farm in Washington and we had a Ranch in Idaho. A lot of good teachings with a raisin like that.

This is very true. I started working for my uncle on his farm when I was 8. Dad taught me how to drive when I was 8 and we went to visit my aunt & uncle in Washington. I went up to my uncle and said "Hey Doc, I bet I can drive one of those trucks" (10 wheeler grain truck). He said "oh ya", so he put a bucket seat on top of the bench seat, 2x4 blocks on the pedals and I was off. Had a blast that day, he woke me up the next day @ 6am. I was like "what are we doing" and he said "you are going to work". Drove truck all of harvest and was only able to drive in the fields to unload the combines. At the end of the summer, he took me into his office and asked me how many hours I had for work and I was like HUH? He gave me $500 for the summer and told me next year to keep track of my hours and that I would get paid more. Drove truck for 4 years then graduated to combine. Operated combine for another 4 years and was field boss. I learned a lot from that and it instilled a great work ethic from a young age and that things don't come "free". I have lived by that work ethic all my life.

I bet that $250,000 and up category is for people that make $250,000 as their claimed income. Your dad probably pulls in over $250,000 for the family farm, not his salary. With the deductions he can claim (farm equipment, fertilizer, his salary, etc.) as business expenses I bet you guys will come out on top. I don't think you have to worry.

I wish that many millions of "do-nothings" who are twice and three times your age had that attitude. Keep it up, and you'll go a long way in life.
