While the rest of the country seems to worry about more restrictive gun control measures (and rightly so) California might just have some of their restrictive laws done away with.

For those of you that don't know we have a not unsafe handgun list. If it isn't on the list you don't get one. It's just a bunch of hoops they make the manufactures do to add to the cost / reduce firearms in the state.

This law might very well be ready to fall in the next 12 months. Along with the loaded chamber indicator, microstamping, and a few others.

What's driving the change? Are the moderates starting to make their voices heard or have people started to realize criminals don't follow the law anyway, so anything they pass controlling weapons will actually encourage more crime?

from what i have heard/read on this, instead of banning this or banning that, its mroe along the line of ban everything that doesn't have a loaded chamber indicator, microstamping on the firing pin, personalized firearm safety that disables the gun unless a special watch is worn, etc.

Yup, I like my indicator too. If the slide is locked to the rear, it's not loaded.

I hope Californians are tired of a few looney left wingers running the state and have started standing for their rights.

I agree that a gun is always loaded but I may need to confirm with a bad guy to see if he can read. :D

I don't the exact wording of it but basicly there is a court case Nordyke vs. and the people on gun owners side are working to get that case incorperated. Once that is done the people on the side of California lawful gun owners will be able to attack the draconion gun laws of the state.

I would read this post with some skepticism but the people behind this are the same people that got the off list lowers going in California.

They are smart, on the gun owners side, well funded, and have the quavas to do this.
