I gotta say folks; I'm a little disappointed. There are a lot of people here who complain about the actions of the government. 123 views on the message talking about the new assault weapon ban, but when it comes to actually DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT most people would rather not bother. I titled one of my posts Contact your representatives (http://www.gun-forums.com/showthread.php?t=1687) intentionally to see how many folks would look at it. 39 to date. Out of the 130-odd members who should believe in the rights to a firearm (it is a firearms forum), and the hundreds of visitors, only 39 people bothered to read a message that shows at least one way to get your voice across...get your message heard. It is this apathy that is killing America as we know it. Judges get away with making laws from the bench because people don't object. Congress gets away with taking huge chunks of our money and giving it to someone else because people don't object.
THIS ADMINISTRATION WILL TRY TO TAKE OUR RIGHT TO SELF DEFENSE, AND MOST PEOPLE WILL NOT LIFT A FINGER IN PROTEST!
Maybe I was wrong, but I thought this forum was comprised of people with values and beliefs who enjoy their Constitutional rights and will protest to the best of their ability any infringements of those rights. Maybe I was wrong, but I thought there were people here who were interested in finding ways to preserve our rights. Maybe I was wrong, but I thought there were people here who believed that if something had to be done, the best way to do it was to do it yourself.
Based on what I've seen so far, I guess maybe I really was wrong.
