Just a little line to introduce myself. I am a firm believer in gun control. The ability to repeatedly hit my target.:D

Seriously, I have been a shooter and firearms owner since my Boy Scout days back in 1963. My favorite handgun is the Colt 1911, favorite shotgun is an old Remington 1100 slightly custom, and the only centerfire rifle I currently own is an Interarms Mark X in .243 Win. I,m also into traditional black powder hunting and have several cap and ball pistols. I don't own anything that I cannot or will not shoot. I can't afford to just look at them. My family shoots and I have a few acres in Surry County, VA that allows us the luxury of shooting any time we see the need. I reload metalic cartridges but not shot shells. I'm always looking for a "bargain".

welcome to our little corner.
Im along the same lines on ownership. I wont buy a gun that I'd be afraid of carrying in the field.

With today's economy I find it hard to spend money on frivilous wall hangers. Most of my spare change is going to ammo and reloading supplies before ...........well I ain't ready to dwell in politics here yet.

I guess you could call me a first gen owner. its a first generation frontier.
I think the 2nd amendment is important, but I like to think of my self as a bill of rights guy

Glad to have you on the site. Good old Smithfield VA. I was married there back in 1996 in a very very old church. I believe it was built in the 1600's. It's been a long time since I've been there and I can't remember the name of the place. Welcome!!
