I would like to promote a non-profit organization called the "Canadian Association for Self Defence". It is pushing for pro-self-defence legislation which include repealing laws against carrying weapons for self-defence, legalization of pepperspray for use on violent attackers, and just overall allowing Canadians to exercise their right to defend themselves and handing out real punishments to violent criminals and repeat-offenders.

Many politicians have suggested ineffective and non-functional solutions to crime. Examples of this would be handgun bans, closing down shooting ranges, banning protective gear such as Body Armor in BC, and "rehabilitating" criminals that end up re-offending.

With this being an American forum in general, what would you suggest be done to promote organizations like the CASD to Canadians, and what can they do to fight for their rights? Personally, I would like to carry a gun for self-defence, but I'll settle for pepperspray or a baton because it's better than nothing at all. Right now, I cannot legally carry a weapon for self-defence, and that needs to change here.
