I realize some type of rest is way more stable than offhand shooting, and I did get a bipod for the new rifle. However.....A sling also came with the package. I know the sling can be wrapped around an arm and pulled tight to steady the rifle, but my question is: For a right handed shooter, should the sling wrap around the right or left arm??

Also, while I am here, is there a DTR equivalent for guns? I am getting interested in long-range target shooting, and also setting up an arsenal for home-defense.

Thanks guys....

The sling wraps around your left arm, assuming you`re right handed. For target shooting the sling has a loop that your arm goes thru.
This is my equivalent of DTR for guns.

Thanks davemac

I was suffering from a brain cramp and couldn't remember which arm to put in the sling.
