I bought a M&P9 (new) last November. I have been struggling with this gun since day 1.. It fires fine (hasn't jammed yet), the trigger is a little gritty but getting better, but the sights on this thing are not where near correct. It seems like the gun can't hit the broad side of a barn. I am pretty much at wits end here... Tonight I took it to the indoor range and couldn't even get on paper with a 12"x12" target (aiming at the center) at 15 feet. I was worried it was me, so I let 2 other shooters there try it also, they had the same results. It seems like the gun is shooting to the right, and low about 8".. I can drill paper all day long with my Ruger Mark II, and a Smith .357 revolver, but this gun is killing me...
I have never tried to send a gun off to get it checked out or anything, is this something S/W is responsible to fix or am I just better off trying to find a good local gun smith and letting him go over it??? I am really let down with this gun, after hearing such good reviews I was excited about getting this gun, now it makes me sick to take it to the range. I really bought gun for more of a home defense gun but with the accuracy I am getting from it, I would be better throwing it at the prep instead of firing it...
