Well, I ordered one in .45 today! I have no idea if/how much I'll like it, but I like a lot of it's features. The later production pieces seem to be getting good marks for reliability, so I'm looking forward to wringing it out a little.

Anyone on here have or shoot one? Please post up and let me hear the good and bad.

I respectfully request that all Taurus bashing be secured until this piece has a chance to prove its mettle. I'll do my part to report fairly how it performs, and then, if necessary, we'll loose the bashing. I really hope not, though. :D

Yeah, I had one of the original Millennium PT-111's and never had any trouble with it. I sold it when I got my XD Subcompact just because I liked the XD better, not because the Taurus was a bad gun. But don't get me started on the PT-22 or the 85...

It came in Friday! Haven't gotten to shoot it yet, but I have some good impressions of it so far. The double action pull is about half of what my Ruger P97 was, and it is very easy to keep on point of aim during that pull.

The magazines have a very tight fit to the catch, so they require a solid 'bump' into the magazine well. This is not a bad thing for a fighting gun, and although I don't plan to fight with it, it's some reassurance that Taurus designed it with that kind of use in mind.

That's about all I've got to say so far. Hope to put some through it next weekend, even if I just go out in the pasture.
