Well it happened, snapped the other day while cleaning my kids cheap 8' pool with the NEW extenda pole pool cleaning thing. Had it for a little over a week and went out last night to clean the pool and the very end extension would not tighten down. Take it apart, examine and no hope. Layed it gently on the pool and walked away mumbling.
What was I mumbling, well in kiddie safe language. I'm so darn tired of buying stuff and within a week or if you lucky longer the piece of junk is broke. Gone through half a truck load of coffee makers in the last 10 years, the pool tool, now today the pump on the pool, 1 month old is junk and don't work anymore. Have not run it everyday, a couple hours in a day but not everyday and even then it did not clean the pool very well. Cheap darn lawnmowers, sold a 66' cub a few months back. Sat for about 2 years. Cleaned the carb, put in fresh gas and a plug wire off a old ford 390. Charge battery with surprisingly still functioning chinese made battery charger and the tractor fired right off and ran great.
Now, we bought one of those john deere push mowers a few years ago....to replace a different mower we had that was only a few years old. Paid somewhere in the range of $350 I guess(?) and a year later the wheels were falling off the turd, pull cable broke then repaired by me(of course just out of warranty). Now, this year, pull cord broke again, gas tank leaks so bad theres no way to do anything. Now the only thing worth while on the sucker is the Briggs and Stratton engine. Got a yard full of engines with no good mowers. Gone through countless weed wackers til we bought the Echo, perhaps that was made in the U.S?? Two years and has not been given the traditional flight across the field like the last two or three we've had.
So, this is why I'm tired, a friend of mine feels the same way. I miss the stuff you could by and have for years and years. How about this Uncle Sam, stop dinging the business's so hard for taxes and maybe we'll have some jobs and WoW!!! Some quality products???
Ok, rant over.....
