its on the back burner for now.
I dont think its a bad idea to continue to remind your congressional representative of your feelings and to work with others to persuade them to support the 2A also.

I agree, we need to keep the pressure on.

So what effect do you think this will have (if any) on prices?
You would expect them to go down because of a lack of frenzy buying. But I think they may not change much because people don't have a whole lot of faith that this position will stay for long.

I dont think we will see as much effect on prices. we have already proven we will pay the price. I do think availability (especially of ammo) will improve greatly.
I stopped at academy last weekend, they have plenty of shot ammo and hunting rifle ammo, but the pistol ammo and .22LR was GONE, not a box on the shelf. Same for .223

Academy has been about the only place lately I have found any handgun ammo. All of the Wal-Marts and other sporting goods stores have been bare on the shelves.
Then again, it's been about a month since I stopped by one, so they might be emptied out as well.

I hit up to three walmarts and academy once every two weeks. a box of or two of pistol ammo, maybe some .22LR or .223. I like to shoot, but with the talk and fear and speculation, I typically shoot about 1/2 what I buy.

One minute he says it's not happening now, then he goes to Mexico and says it is a good idea that should be looked at.
I think there are too many politicians worried about election to try it right now, but it sure is interesting to see the flip-flopping BO is doing on the issue. CNN must have a hard time editing their website to only reflect the latest position.
In brighter news, I think 3 panelists slipped through on CNN Headline News earlier. The anchor was talking about the Mexico cartel problem and spewing the same old "90%" stat. When she toss the question out to the panel, all three said a ban here would do nothing because the cartels have enough cash to supply themselves on the international arms market. Plus, all those grenades and RPGs are already coming from there since that isn't stuff you just run across the border to the gun shop for. I've never heard so many "ums" and "uhs" on a news show when she was trying to get jump to the next topic.

He is a true politician... He will tell you EXACTLY what his advisers think the current audience wants to here.

I work in the Hardware and sporting goods dept at a Fred Meyers and we can not get Ammo. It sucks seeing the almost empty case.

finding ammo seems to be a matter of hitting walmart before 6 am daily and checking... its hit or miss even then...
funny thing tho, everyone keeps saying as the fears subside and people run out of money, they will slow on their hording, but I dont see it happen. Many people like me are buying when its available. Im buying less than before at a given time, just instead of shooting it then, I wait till I buy a bit more then go shoot some of it... In the past, I would go buy what I planned on shooting and rotate out old ammo. the only time I come home with ammo from shooting was if I was hunting.

No, he he will tell you what the people who are pulling his strings want him to say. He isn't to be a leader, only a puppet on a string, being pulled by congress and a few others.
