The election isn't the "Drop-Dead" date........the inauguration is a whole different kettle o fish ;)
Yes, I'm looking to purchase an AR before January. :p

I think we'll be fine - the only poll that counts is next Tuesday.

You know what I mean...:p
I figure a year or two before any moves are made, but common sense may not pre-vail.

Based on what I've seen over on the XDTalk forum, everyone has been seeing an increase in sales at gun shops all around. Apparently everyone is having the same feeling.

Yeah, and unfortunately, places like where I just picked up my AR lower reciever, aren't restocking many for fear of not being able to re-sell them. I'd have thought they'd want to load up for the pre-ban buying rush?

Really the whining starts on Tuesday, after 7 PM Pacific. The President is not elected until the Electoral College meets.
From: http://usgovinfo.about.com/od/thepoliticalsystem/a/electcollege.htm
But not until the first Monday after the second Wednesday in December, when the electors of the Electoral College meet in their state capitals and cast their votes will we really have a new president and vice president elect

Interesting...I really expected most places would restock heavily, but mark up the prices to take advantage of a rush.

Number of CCW permits issued jumps...

But as had been mentioned before, the permit is the easier thing to take away with some legislation. But they'll never get all the guns taken away.
