assembly charges

A guy at work asked me to put together an AR for him.
I told him to order the kit and buy his lower (not doing a private sale to him).
He asked me how much I would charge for assembly and I told him not to worry about it, but then I started thinking.

Has anyone paid to have an AR assembled? what did it cost?

Not trying to be a Gloomy Gus, but maybe your house and everything you own if something doesn't work right and someone gets hurt.....and he contacts Dewy, Cheatem, and Howe.

Are you a qualified gunsmith?

20 bucks is fair. For 20 bucks he should get a lower with no dings, and the roll pins still looking like roll pins.

I dont think Im gonna charge him as long as its just one rifle that shows up. more than that and we are gonna have to discuss compensation.
