It's called Deadly Force for a reason.
If I find myself face to face with a potentially armed bad guy in my house, I don't want to hit him with a couple of bean bags and REALLY tick him off. "Officer I was in fear for my life and the lives of my family so I hit him with a bean bag round" won't stand up long in court....of course that's IF you're still alive to testify............ My shotties are both loaded with buckshot.

There's potential for serious injury, so it would constitute as lethal force, whether they die or not. Best use the real deal as the law allows. A bean bag might give the prosecution the idea you have a pre-concieved notion to shoot at somebody. More importantly, if you need someone to stop, you don't want to wonder if it's gonna do the job or not.

Like Ive said, a bean bag round leaves you facing the criminal in court with what ever story he can stick to.
A criminal in a grave is better than a criminal in court.
