Bersa Thurder .308

I'm not much of a fan of anything under .40 S &W. However, with summer coming on and T Shirt weather, I've heard good things about the Bersa......any comments on the weapon?

One of my long time buddy's wife carries a bersa .45 ACP. She has a carry purse so size isn't as much of an issue. She likes the gun and hasn't complained about it.

I'd suggest that caliber isn't really relevant until after the bullet hits it's intended target. With proper fundamentals, and practice, The vast majority of folks can learn to shoot virtually any caliber. A hit with a .22 beats a miss with a .45....

My wife has a 7 round Bersa .380, and shoots it very well. She's almost 60 years old, and has no control issues with the weapon. I keep a 15 round Bersa .380 in the truck all the time. I carry a 1911, because I've done so for over 35 years, and I'm proficient with it. It truly is nice to have a choice.....

While shot placement is critical.......I'll take the same wounding shot with a .45 over that of a .22.

A "wounding shot" is highly unpredictable. Don't shoot to "wound".... shoot to stop.

In a perfect word ever shot is a kill shot.....the cops prove that isn't reality every day. I going to empty my mag. into a bad guy.....but would you rather take one in the shoulder from a .45 or a .22......and are you are more likely to bleed out from the .45 or the .22?

For the most part, I agree with you. Pre-determination of emptying a full magazine may not be the best train of thought. Shoot until the threat stops. Of course, there's always, "I couldn't help it, I just kept pulling the trigger... I didn't know what I was doing". It's worked before.

I've carried a 1911 for a long time. I'm well versed in it's abilities.
