Your right, I think Id used the word Faction instead. I think the IRA has the edge though.

by definition, I guess they are warriors...
they fight... or atleast cause a fight.... For those who aren't familiar with the show, they evaluate the weapon, defenses, and tactics of two groups. Then feed the results and opinions into some program that runs thru various scenarios and decides who wins and who looses. IRA took the win based on more accurate weapon (M-16) and more effective bombing tactics and techniques.

Ive seen a couple of episode before. One I remember was an American Indian (Apache I think) vs a Roman Gladiator.
Gladiator didnt stand a chance.

They had a veritable marathon of deadliest warrior before the IRA-Taliban battle... watched 'em all. I liked the William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu matchup... it was Wallace in a rout... also the Green Berets vs Spetnaz... the Russkies won in the closest matchup yet. I think they won 7 more than the Green Berets... helped by the far superior semi auto shotgun (I'll give them that one) and the better special weapon, ballistic knife (very debatable).
