Finding Nemo...errr, ammo...

Why is it so hard to find pistol ammo? Lately I have been looking for some .45ACP hardball for practice, and it's like finding a needle in a haystack. This morning a buddy of mine called and said the local Academy just received a shipment of .45 ammo. So I run over there and bought 700 rounds of Blazer 230grn hardball. Does that make me a ammo hoe???

Heck, they even had Blazer .44 Special in stock, so I bought several boxes for my S&W Model 24 1950.

No,....it makes you a Second Amendment Supporter.

I bought a couple of UMC brand 250 round boxes of .45 from Bass Pro Shops a while ago for punchin' paper.

Have you checked any of the On-Line places?

www.aimsurplus.com

www.ammoman.com

www.ammunitiontogo.com

These are the ones I have used, there are others also.

I pick up a box or two of what ever is available (that I can use) everytime I go to the store. Sometime is a box of pistol ammo, sometimes its a box of 12 gauge bird shot.

I reload. I have about 200 rounds of .40 S&W done, and 2000 bullets and 3500 empty shells, and oh yeah, 1000 primers and 9lbs of Tightgroup powder! Time to get cranking!

Lately we have been buying ammo from the Ammoman but he's been out of the .45ACP. I couldn't wait anymore. Will place an order once he gets some stock in.

My Wallyworld is always out of stock. They said when ammo arrives it's gone in a day.
