Glock 23

Anybody have any suggestions for me. I have a 23 with about 250 rounds thru it. It shoots about 4" low at 25 feet with any loads I have tried. Its got the fixed factory night site up front and a windage adjsutable rear.

Any ideas besides holding high? I'm currently developing a magazine sight for the thing, It'll go on the base!

Kurt

First off, make sure it is the gun. I tend to shoot a Glock low left due to the trigger and grip angle. Try benchresting it and seeing what it does.

If that isn't the problem then I would call Glock.

Thanks, Tightgroup. I am very careful about my grip and sight alignment whne firing slow fire. This dang thing just shoots low.

My natural grip with this gun puts me to the left when I just point shoot it too. I need to conciously pull my wrist a little to the right for good sight alignment but it still hits low. My other two don't do this, Ironically my 27 is the best shooter of the three.

Thanks, Kurt

Glock will say its the shooter..LOL I have been around glocks for years and a glock armorer for 5 years and i have never seen or heard of a gun malfunction that causes that. it has always been shooter related. But your other glocks dont do it. stange? the bench rest is good advice. let us know what you find..maybe have another shooter try and see what it does. also you may want to try trigger reset. fire your first round and keep the trigger to the rear, then slowly let the trigger out, you will feel the trigger reset, stop there and then press the trigger and fire. this tends to give better accuracy at longer distances because you dont have so much trigger play. You can practice trigger reset at home dry fire practice, just follow the safety rules and make sure you take out the magazine first (remove the food) then clear the chamber visually and physically inspect the chamber. at greater distances you have to focus on the front site to get accurate shot placement.

Simple fix is to take a little off the top of the front sight. It's pretty painless with a Dremel tool or even a good flat-faced file. Quick and easy, and gets the job done...

A LEO friend, who is also a Glock armorer took it out and it shot just fine for him and a few of his team. He thinks I am dipping the front sight on alignment due to the night sights. My other two have the white outline.
I am shooting it much better now! Thanks for the help!
