Any of you guys like to shoot flintlocks, They can be a blast to shoot. After you learn to hold steady after the flash in the pan goes off you can shoot all others more accuratly.

Flintlocks are indeed fun.

I've got a 54 cal hawken precussion rifle I built from a kit, mainly for muzzle loader hunting season.

I dinked around with various loads, round balls, mini's... I found dental lead cast with Lee's "real" maxi way outperformed anything else I tried. It would make 1 hole at 50 yards.

Thanks, Never fired it. Usually at muzzeloading season i don't carry a pistol. But lately there have been bears in our hunting area. Kinda scary to just have one shot when a bear is around. Especially when it's dark going to the stand and dark gettin off of it. Would feel safer with a 44 magnum pistol.lol

I hear ya. I've been thinking about buying the Desert Eagle .50 cal, just because. Not that I could do anything useful with it other than make a loud boom with a big hole, but some of the youtube videos are funny as hell.

That's a Hoss of a gun for sure. Probably wouldn't need to hit anything with it, The loud boom and the size of the hole at the end of the barrel would scare most things away.lol
