Lefty options for the AR

Hello all,
I have decided to get a AR but need a little information that was not discussed in that fine post about AR's posted by the Admin. I am right handed but left eyed for sure. I remember in basic (Army 75-79) I had a left handed brass deflector for my M-16 after the captain noticed all the little "C" cuts on my right cheek and motivated somebody to get one for me LOL but that unit would only work on a AR with a carry handle and I don't think I want a carry handle. I see that Stag arms has a left eject but I don't know anything about them and I don't know anyone with one so I thought I would ask some experts about what my options might be

[edit] Just to expand, I'm a tall guy 6'5" and more on the top than the bottom so I end up with my head close on the sight when shooting to be in a comfortable position. I'm a little concerned about buying a left eject due to parts/accessory interchangeability. I'm sure it would also be less desirable if I ever decideed to sell it

First, welcome to the site. The Stags are a pretty good quality rifle and they seem to be selling quite a few of them. As you can see they offer several models and as far as I have seen they are the only ones to offer a left handed model. The concern about parts is only relevent to the bolt and bolt carrier group from what I have seen discussed. You worry about the potential resale of the left handed model but there is the same worry if you were to purchase a left handed bolt rifle.

You may find more information on this over at ar15.com but be aware that there are quite a few obnoxious (this is a family oriented site after all) individuals over there so do not be surprised by some of the responses. You will have to sort through a good bit of chaff to find your answers but the research will pay off.

Thanks for the reply and welcome Equalizer_2, I did end up over at ar15.com and was able to find my answers through search, wish they had that Burton? bump back when I was in basic LOL, I don't remember it on any of my 16's at other duty stations either but that was 30 years ago
