Marlin Model 60

when did marlin cut the mag capacity on the model 60 to 14 and why?

any other notable changes?
Im thinking the boys are old enough they should have had their first .22LR 5 years ago...
I noticed academy had them for $150. My first .22LR was a Marlin (Glenfield) that was manufactured the month and year I was born.

Barrel was shortened to 19" in the early 2000's to accommodate the shorter mag. tube.
