My SKS

I have had a Yugo SKS for about 8 years now. I have put at least 10,000 rounds through it with very few problems and it seems to be getting better with age. I was shooting with a friend spotting for me and making 8-900 shots with iron sights. Has anyone else had similar experiences with an SKS?

SKS with appropriate ammo is a rock solid, accurate platform.

I dont have one, but my cousin does, his runs the cheap russian stuff the best.
8 to 900 meters with irons, i would be doing good to see anything smaller than a car.

It's funny that you mentioned the cheap Russian stuff cause that's what mine shoots best. I tried some Yugo brass rounds and did not like their performance.
