we are only one of 6 states that doesn't allow any form of open carry. There are other benefits to open carry, namely carry a loaded rifle in your truck in the open outside of personal defense.
I personally wont be actively carrying open, but I would like to worry less about printing.

There is a mistake in the petition:
Quote:
Twelve states including Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Utah, and Tennessee allow open carry of handguns with a license.
Utah allows open carry without a license. There are a couple restrictions which include open carry within a certain distance of a school and you cannot open carry with a round in the chamber.

If you have a CCW permit then you are allowed to carry everywhere that is not Federal property. You can open carry in businesses but they can ask you to leave if they do not want you carrying on their property.

I like the option of open carrying and do it from time to time, especially in the summer. If I am carrying concealed and my shirt or coat rides up, exposing my sidearm, then I don't have to worry about it.

After passing and getting vetoed last year, maybe it will pass and be signed this year.

Would be nice not to worry about "printing" or accidentally exposing your weapon.

Maryland can carry with a permit......... Good luck GETTING a permit in Maryland.
They're only slightly less restrictive than DC.
