Well it is my understanding that the majority of gun owners wanted
Mr. Mccain to win. I just think that if our best choice was...

I'm not so much concerned about the candidate actively using guns as I am about their belief of the right for other people being allowed to keep and use guns.

I totally agree, but " don't own them anymore " .... like who gets rid of all their their guns ???? and then makes a public statement that they dont own them anymore?? just didnt add up to me.

Did you bother to watch his facial expressions as he said that? He said it as if he was tired, and that he had seen enough death in his life from war. As if to say he had used them enough and wanted nothing to do with it anymore.

THINK about it. The guy is over 70 years old, has fought in wars, has been a POW and has seen more gunplay than you or I could ever know. How does that not add up to you? Maybe he's just no longer interested in guns anymore after what he's been through. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be around them anymore either.

Ok, so POW's just might be one of the only former gun owners that don't want to be around them anymore. I will say my dad did three tours of Vietnam and he is gun nut along with every other vet that I have met including two other POW's.

You know after giving it a little more thought my point is that I think that it's crazy that the representative that the mass majority of
" Gun Owners " supported says he doesn't own them anymore. I have no problem with him not owning them or whatever personal reasons for not, but if your the one supposedly representing a group of people you would at least think you would say something halfway positive for the rest of gun owners in this country.
