Remington 700 without doubt. I just don't care for the Browning A/X-bolt. The stocks don't fit me well, the metalwork isn't what it used to be, and you're paying a premium for the name. I've had both, and my Remingtons have been significantly more accurate than my Brownings. If you're looking for something a bit different, and still in the $700 pricerange, you might want to check out the new Sako A7. I've heard great reviews, and as it's based off the Tikka T3 and the Sako 85 (and I've got/love both) it's gotta be good. Another option you might consider is the Tikka 695 series. They've been replaced by the newer T-3, but I still prefer the older design, and you can usually pick one up for under $500.
