Shotgun value
Do any of you know of a good place to get a value of an older shotgun? This is a Stevens 12 ga 520-30. It has markings of US, P and a flaming barrel. From what I found online, $1500-3000. I didn't realize an old shotgun would bring that kind of value.
It belonged to my wife's late uncle who was in the national guard in the 70s here are some pictures of one that looks like it: http://www.collectorsfirearms.com/ad...p?itemID=30831 Thanks |

The "flaming barell" would be a bomb which is the symbol for the US Army Ordinance Corps. Hence the US stamp. Not sure exactly what the P is. Wouldn't be an arsenal stamp I imagine, since the gun is made by Stevens. Hat eto steer you to another forum, but a lot of military expertise can be found here.

I believe the steven's was made by mossberg, you might check with mossbergcollectors.org and they could give you some more details.
