SNL Comedy Comes To The Senate
Senator Al Franken (Geessh is THAT really true or am I caught in a Twilight Zone nightmare?) brings laughter to the Sotomayer confirmation hearings.
I'm so glad that Mr. Franken has SO much to offer to such a weighty matter as in the confirmation of a U.S. Supreme Court Justice!! Asking the SCOTUS candidate if she can remember the name of a Perry Mason episode!! ---Quote--- At the end, he (Franken) asked her if she remembered the name of the one case that TV lawyer Perry Mason lost. Sotomayor said the show inspired her to become a prosecutor, but "I wish I remembered the name of the episode." "Didn't the White House prepare you?" Franken asked, to laughter from the committee, nominee and crowd. "Yes, but I had a lot of cases to review," Sotomayor said. Chairman Leahy then asked Franken what the name of the episode was. "I don't know. If I knew I wouldn't have asked her." ---End Quote--- http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_pl720 How sweet, with the U.S. Constitution hanging in the balance, all this idiot wants to know is if Sotomayer can remember the name of a fictional TV episode!! Maybe he should have asked her if she gets her "news" from SNL, like so many others, too. Maybe he could have gone even deeper by "probing" Ms. Sotomayer with, "Did you see the relevance of my unashamed and biased political satire on SNL??" More... |
