Texas Knife Laws

I know a man who makes knives and I want him to make me a little sheath knife, nothing big, 2.5 or 3inch blade with a fancy little handle. This first one wont be for me, it will be a gift for someone but Im gonna want one of my own in the future.

My question is, can I legally sheath knife? Someone has told me no. Another has told me yes. I always thought one could provided it was of legal length and only have a blade on one side.

Can someone clear this up for me?

Here is a link you can use, you are talking about a FIXED blade right? Then the way I read it, you are good to go.

The other point I found in google-ing this topic was that you can own a so-called "illegal" knife, you just can't carry it around on your belt or concealed. Heh, who would have thought Texas would have stupid knife laws.
